Before

This victorian home has lots of charm but very little functionality.

This Denver couple wanted to open up their home’s floor plan. Their existing
kitchen didn’t give them the space these, self proclaimed, chefs and curators of
spices needed.

The living and dining rooms were both very small and dark. This home had a lot
of space it was just used poorly. The goal was to be smart about maximizing storage and prep areas in the kitchen, minimizing
clutter by providing a place for everything, and creating a warm and inviting space throughout the home.

After

Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room
allowed natural light to flow throughout the home and
gave the opportunity to reconfigure the kitchen which included space for a peninsula.

Without enlarging the kitchen we were able to reconfigure the layout and maximize storage creatively. A large pantry, newly located range, new farm sink, and refrigerator are all within arms reach.

Notice the custom range hood with a stucco finish
complimented by a reclaimed rustic wood accent the homeowner found in an antique shop.
